Ingredients
1 cup rice
2 2-inch cinnamon sticks, about 1/4 inch thick
1 liter of hot water
1 can evaporated milk
1 can condensed milk
1 litter cold water
ice
Optional:
1/3 cup sugar
1/8 vanilla
Directions
In a blender, blend the rice very finely. Add the cinnamon sticks and 1 liter hot water and let rest for a few hours until it's cold.
Blend the contents of the blender and then strain the liquid into a big container using a fine strainer and cheesecloth. Dispose of the strained rice and cinnamon bits. (How much liquid is this?)
Add the evaporated milk and condensed milk to the rice liquid and mix well. Add 1/2 liter water if too thick. This may require additional sugar to taste. If desired, add the vanilla.
Serve with ice and enjoy!
