Toasted Nuts

























Ingredients

Almonds, pecans, pine nuts, walnuts, etc.


Directions

Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
Spread the almond slices evenly in a single layer to ensure that they toast uniformly.
Bake and watch closely to prevent burning. 
Remove the nuts from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool. 

Pecans: 5-7 minutes
Sliced Almonds: 3-4 minutes


Notes
  • Using parchment paper makes cleanup very easy. Gently crumble the parchment paper into a loose ball. Be careful not to tear it while doing so. Flatten the paper smoothing it as much as possible. You'll notice that it becomes more pliable and is less likely to resist laying flat.
  • Taste a slice after toasting to ensure it has the desired crunch and flavor.
  • Toasted almond slices can be used as a topping for salads, yogurt, desserts, or incorporated into various recipes for added texture and nutty flavor.
