Baklava Lebanese Style





Ingredients

Clarified Butter
8 oz unsalted european-style butter

Syrup
150 grams (3/4 cup) granulated sugar sugar
1 cups water
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Rose water or orange blossom water, optional. See notes 

Nut Filling
1 lb walnuts or pistachios
3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Phyllo or Fillo dough
1 lb package phyllo dough sheets, 13 x 18 or 13 x 9, thawed overnight in the freezer
